White Hart Lane Station, Tottenham, London
Behold the beauty of Tottenham’s White Hart Lane Station on a summer morning.
Well, obviously this Victorian built station is no architectural delight, but it is does afford a great view of the surrounding area. Again though, unless you’re a big fan of tower blocks and local authority housing, it’s no great visual treat.
Located just off Tottenham High Road, as well as bringing Spurs supporters to the inevitable disappointment that invariably comes from watching Tottenham’s home games, the line carries commuters from the outskirts of London into the city.
Following the route of the original Stoke Newington & Edmonton Railway, all trains on this line serve Liverpool Street (for the Central Line, Circle Line, Metropolitan Line and Hammersmith and City Line), Bethnal Green, Cambridge Heath, London Fields, Hackney Downs, Rectory Road, Stoke Newington, Stamford Hill, Seven Sisters (interchange with Victoria Line), Bruce Grove, White Hart Lane, Silver Street and Edmonton Green. The line then splits with half the trains serving Bush Hill Park and Enfield Town and the others calling at Southbury, Turkey Street, Theobalds Grove and Cheshunt.
